Another commission!  This time of John Carter.  The request was to make him smoldering, true to the book, and looking over his shoulder.  It was meant as a gift to a true John Carter fan and was not to be based on the movie depiction of the character.  I had a lot of fun imagining my own version of the character while retaining some elements of the throwback illustrations of yesteryear (looking at you, Frazetta).  If you’ve seen any of the old illustrations, you know Mr. Carter is shown wearing next to nothing, so I wanted to include a little scantily clad man flesh mixed with grit and wear and tear.  Let me know what you think!

Commission of Nana Osaki

Wanted to make her more realistic.  Put a Wada spin on an anime character.  Gotta love a woman in a suit.
